Keep your house and kids safe this holiday season.

HolidaySafetyTips.png Keep your kids and house safe this holiday season by following these simple ideas to avoid these commonly overlooked household dangers.
    Tree and Plant Dangers
  • Make sure real trees are watered regularly and generously. Dried out trees are a fire hazard.
  • Hang ornaments that are delicate or choking hazards out of reach of children and fasten securely to the tree.
  • Move plants that may be poisonous to pets and children out of reach. Some of these dangerous plants include poinsettias, holly, mistletoe, & Jerusalem cherry.
    Fire & Electrical Safety
  • Keep extension cords away from pets and children.
  • Check your smoke detectors.
  • Check the lights you put around your home to make sure that they are in good condition and not fraying which can also be a fire hazard.
  • Unplug Christmas lights and other appliances when you go to sleep to prevent fires.
  • Keep open flames and candles far away from curtains and out of reach from curious little fingers.
