It's that time of the year again, tax free weekend! Iowa's tax free weekend is held August 3rd and 4th this year. Shoppers are eligible to save money on clothing and shoes under $100. Be careful to not overspend though, you may find better offers before and/or after the tax free weekend takes place. Also, be sure to compare prices at different stores and use coupons when you can.

Back to school shopping consists of anything from clothing to supplies; here are ten tips to make back to school shopping easier:
  • Separate wants from needs
  • Make a list and get your child involved
  • Take inventory
  • Buy basics in bulk
  • Get your kids into the recycling habit
  • Watch for promotions
  • Figure out when quality counts
  • Help your school while you shop
  • Plan now for next year
