Hunziker Launches NEW 3D Walkthrough Technology
Stroll through a home from the comfort of your couch. Hunziker & Associates, Realtors is the first in Iowa to roll out new 3D technology enabling customers to virtually
walkthrough a home, view a dollhouse representation and a floor plan of the home.
The Internet has proven to be a resourceful tool to homebuyers who want to browse housing inventory from the comfort of their couch. Real estate agents can upload a smattering
of still images to help give people a sense of what a house is like, before they set foot through the door. Even the best pictures can't convey the full feeling of walking
through a house.
That's why Hunziker & Associates, Realtors has introduced a new 3D Walkthrough feature that's designed to provide prospective buyers with a deeper insight into what the home
actually looks like before they go and visit it. The effect is a bit like The Sims meets Google Street View: users can zoom out into a "dollhouse mode" and look at a home's
complete floor plan in miniature, and then zoom into a first person view to move around the house.
Right now, homes listed by Hunziker & Associates agents in Central Iowa will have the option to include the new feature. Users who would rather not have a full 3D rendering
of their home sitting on the internet can opt out of the new service if they choose.
The service is powered by Matterport, a company that has been working for the past three years on technology that allows people to use a special camera to map the space around
them in 3D. In this instance, Hunziker & Associates has dedicated personel to use Matterport's camera to create a 3D Walkthrough of a home, which is then included in the listing.
"The ability to "walk" through a home and see how it flows from room to room is something that still photos can't give you," stated Dean Hunziker, Broker owner of Hunziker &
Associates, Realtors. "Technology has come a long way from the days of little pictures in the paper."

Valentine's Day Decorating Ideas
Valentine's Day is around the corner, and while it's not typically an occasion for decorating every room (like Christmas or Halloween),
there are ways to subtly - and stylishly - set the mood. If you want to create a romantic look and feel in your home for that special
someone this February 14th, here are some simple but effective ways to do just that.
- Lighting- Creating the right mood starts with lighting. Add some candles to create an air of romance. Flameless candles create the same ambience without the safety hazard.
- Flowers- Blooms are a must for Valentine's Day, but try spreading flowers around the home with individual bud vases.
- Colors- Add some pillows and throw blankets in deep colors like burgandy, deep red, violets and warm browns.
- Tableware- Setting a nice table complete with tablecloth and wine glasses, plus a nice centerpiece, will transform a dining room.
- Music- Make dinner at home more special with subtle background music.
