What's so special about SRES designated REALTORS?

What is the SRES designation?
A SRES or Senior Real Estate Specialist is a REALTOR who is uniquely qualified to assist seniors in housing sales and purchases.

What qualities make a SRES REALTOR defferent?
The SRES designation enables a REALTOR to better understand generational differences, financing options, and legal matters involved with 50 individuals who are moving. A SRES designated REALTOR can be a huge value to an adult child seeking to help their parent make a move.

How does a REALTOR get a SRES designation?
The SRES designation is awarded only to REALTORS who successfully complete a series of educaitonal courses on how to help seniors and their families with later-in-life real estate transactions. They must then maintain an active membership in the SRES Council and the National Association of REALTORS. This ensures that REALTORS with this designation are qualified and are up-to-date with information that effects seniors.

SREScoffee.png Does Hunziker & Associates have REALTORS with the SRES designation?
Absolutely! In fact 19 out of our 43 REALTORS have taken the necessary course and passed the exam.

Many seniors are looking ahead to the future. If you don't know how to plan, or where to start, a REALTOR with the SRES designation is the perfect resource for you. They can show you options of housing choices that will have an impact on your health, safety, and comfort. This is especially helpful for those seniors who want to age in place.

Perhaps you are a concerned child. If your parent's health and wellness is at stake, we would love to help you as you talk with them. This can be a hard transition, but it doesn't have to be! Please call us with any questions. We would love to help you! Visit us at HunzikerRealty.com.

The true beauty of the holidays comes from what we love most in the form of friends, family, small moments and big memories. Healthy or budget-strapped, your finances shouldn't hold you back from giving back. Here are six ways that you can volunteer to make a difference, feel good and give a gift that transcends material wealth.
    Ways to Volunteer this Holiday
  • Play games or cards with senior citizens.
  • Collect and donate jackets to a homeless shelter.
  • Collaborate with a food bank for donations.
  • Make decorations for places that need more cheer.
  • Adopt a family.
  • Donate items to the local humane society.
When it comes to volunteering, especially during the holidays, do what feels right. The best gifts will come from your heart - not from your wallet.
